Braden Chiaramonte Earns Hard Charger Honors at Opening Night of  Dave Bradway Jr Memorial

PETERSEN MEDIA: Continuing to battle with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour aboard the Tiner Hirst Enterprise No.94 entry, Braden Chiaramonte overcome a slow start to the night and was the night’s PitStopUSA.Com Hard Charger as he finished 13th after starting 21st.

With a total of 40 cars checked into Placerville Speedway for the opening night of the Dave Bradway Jr Memorial being held under Sprint Car Challenge Tour sanction, the El Cajon, CA product kicked the night off by timing the THE/Hepfner Racing Products/EMI backed No. 94 in 13th fastest in his qualifying flight.

In an early hole heading into heat race competition, Chiaramonte took the green flag from the seventh starting position needing to race into the top-five to avoid the ‘B’ Main.

With the waving of the green flag, Chiaramonte jumped into sixth as he chased after Travis Labat and Tanner Carrick who raced just ahead of him. On a surface that still had plenty of speed in it, passing in the first heat of the night was tough though Chiaramonte was relentless in his efforts.

Finishing sixth, Chiaramonte was forced into the 12-lap ‘B’ where he took the green flag from the second row with four transfer positions up for grabs. On a surface that had now turned slick, Chiaramonte took a liking to the high side as he jumped into second and chased after race leader, Isaiah Vasquez.

Working on the lead, Chiaramonte made a nice move to slide up in front of Vasquez and take over command of the race. Leading the rest of the way, he picked up the win and extended his night as he transferred into the 35-lap feature event.

As the green flag was displayed to the field, Chiaramonte was patient from the rear of the field as he was mired in heavy traffic on a very slick racing surface. Once the field spread out, the youngster went to work as he worked into 19th on the eighth lap after falling back to last in the early goings.

Continuing to show patience, Chiaramonte worked into 17th on the 16th lap but a miscue saw him give all that position back as he slipped back to 20th on the race’s 20th stanza.

Able to work back up to 17th by the 22nd lap, he used a restart on lap 25 to power his way into 14th. Continuing to search around the ¼ mile bullring, Chiaramonte took over the 13th position with 10-to-go and held on to finish there as he was awarded the PitStopUSA.Com Hard Charger for his efforts.

The Tiner Hirst Enterprise Racing team would like to thank Tiner Hirst Enterprise, Hepfner Racing Products, EMI, Fisher Racing Engines, System 1, Larry Davis Farms, and Slade Shocks for their continued support.

ON TAP: Chiaramonte and Tiner Hirst Enterprise will be back in action on Saturday night at Petaluma Speedway for the fifth round of Sprint Car Challenge Tour action.
