Andy Forsberg 8th at Fall Nationals

PETERSEN MEDIA: Getting into the season ending races in California, Andy Forsberg and the Pacific Highway Rentals team checked in at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA over the weekend where Forsberg picked up an eighth place finish during Saturday’s Fall Nationals finale.

“Friday night we just weren’t very good, and slipped back and actually fell out of the Top-10,” Andy Forsberg said. “Saturday night we were pretty good, and had some good battles all race long and ended up with a Top-10.”

Following Friday’s 12th place finish, Forsberg and company were back in action on Saturday night and got the night kicked off by timing the PHR/Meridian Cameras/Oroville Tax backed No. 92 entry in sixth quickest in his qualifying flight.

Lining up on the front row of his heat race alongside Justin Sanders, Forsberg settled into second once the action came to life. Chasing after Sanders, Forsberg couldn’t quite mount a battle for the lead and spot in the Dash, but his runner up finish locked him into the Fall Nationals feature event.

Taking the green flag from the 10th starting position for the final feature event of the season at Silver Dollar Speedway, Forbserg slowly worked his way forward on a racy surface.

Sitting in seventh on the 10th lap Forsberg was up into the Top-5 at the halfway point of the race as he battled with the likes of Shane Golobic and young and Tanner Holmes.

As he sliced and diced around the quarter mile bullring, Forsberg ended up in eighth when the checkered flag was displayed to the field.

“We had a really good car all night on Saturday,” Forsberg added. “It was a fun race, and things just didn’t quite fall our way to be a few spots better. Thanks to my guys for their hard work. This week we head to Hanford, CA.”

Andy Forsberg and PHR Racing would like to thank Meridian Cameras, Pacific Highway Rentals, Oroville Tax, Wilkie Masonry, Western Traffic Supply, PitStopUSA, Red Line Oil, FK Rod Ends, Autism Awareness, Parking and Transportation Group, Western Featherlite, 1st Vanguard, Highway Specialty Co., and KBJ Catering for their continued support.

BY THE NUMBERS: Races-42, Wins-5, Top 5’s-20, Top 10’s-28

ON TAP: Forsberg and PHR Racing will be in Hanford, CA on Friday night with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour.
