PETERSEN MEDIA- Saturday night in Placerville, CA Dale Miller Motorsports rolled out cars for both Justin Sanders and Bubba DeCaires. Fighting back from an early parts failure, Sanders would rally to finish sixth while DeCaires would bounce back from an early tangle and finish 16th.
“Things went really well until we had a part failure knock us out of second in the early goings of the feature event,” Justin Sanders said. “We had a fast car and I really have to thank Dale Miller for allowing me to compete for him a few times this season.”
Sanders would time the Thompson’s Auto/RedHawk Casino/Dale Miller Septic, Inc. backed No. 4SA JR in eighth fastest in qualifying time trials before picking up a big heat race win that would put him in the nightly redraw.
Pulling the three pill, Sanders would take the green flag from the second row as he lined up behind Kalib Henry. When the race came to life, Sanders would jump into second as he chased after Andy Forsberg.
Looking to have a strong car underneath him in the early laps of the race, Sanders would come to a stop on the third lap with mechanical issues and would be forced into he work area.
With a throttle linkage issues being the culprit, the Dale Miller Motorsports team was able to think quickly on their feet and create a solution to rectify the problem and get the Watsonville, CA driver back in the race.
From the back of the pack, Sanders was able to avoid the fray as he continued to show case a strong car. From the back of the pack Sanders would fight his way up to finish sixth.
Making his return to Placerville Speedway on Saturday night aboard the Dale Miller Motorsports after a couple of weeks off was young Bubba DeCaires. Continuing to get comfortable in the full sized wing car, DeCaires was able to show some resolve himself as he finished 16th in the feature.
“I think our night went well,” DeCaires said. “We were able to work our way to the Top-10 before some bad luck saw us get collected in a wreck. I had to go to the back and focused on making good laps and staying out of trouble and we did just that. Thanks to Dale and everyone for all of their hard work.
Timing the Eldorado Hills Landscaping/Anrak Corporation/Frank’s Body Shop entry in 19th fastest in time trials, DeCaires would take the green flag from the 19th starting position in the feature event.

Able to restart the race, DeCaires would find himself in the back of the pack. Finding himself battling with the likes of Colby Wiesz late in the race, DeCaires would close his night out with a 16th place finish.
