PETERSEN MEDIA- In 2016 the Placerville Speedway has seemed to have Kyle Hirst and Tarlton Motorsports’ number. Making their third trip to the speedway on Saturday night, the team had a tough night but fought threw it to finish in the eighth spot.

“It was just a tough night for our team,” Kyle Hirst said. “The guys worked hard all night long, and we were able to push through and get a Top-10 out of it.”

Timing the Roth Motorsports/Elite Landscape Construction/Tarlton and Son, Inc. No. 21x machine in 13th fastest in time trials, Hirst would find himself in the third row of his heat race.

Looking to make something happen in the heat, the Paradise, CA driver would try to save his machine after it bicycled, but he would get upside down and be credited with a seventh place finish.

With his Tarlton Motorsports team able to make repairs and get him out for the feature event, Hirst would grid the field from the seventh row for the 30-lap contest.

The start of the feature event would continue to be problematic for KH and the Executive Auto Sales/Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino/Pabco Gypsum machine as he would get collected in a tangle in turn four and be forced to make a trip to the work area.

Able to make the call for the rest of the feature event, Hirst would finally get going without any issues as he worked his way forward. With current runner up in KWS points, Bud Kaeding, running up front, each position was vital for Hirst.

Working his way into the Top-10, Hirst would take a late move to grab the eighth spot, where he would go on to finish.

“This place has been rough on us all year,” Hirst said. “Luckily this is a great team and we were able to stay at it and come away with a Top-10. Thanks to Paul Baines and the guys for all of their hard work, and the Tarlton family and Roth family for their continued support.”

Kyle Hirst and the Tarlton Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Motorsports, Elite Landscape Construction, Tarlton and Son, Inc., Executive Auto Sales, Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino, Pabco Gypsum, Bandy and Associates, All Star Performance, Corporate America Investments, and BG Lubricants for their support through the 2016 season.

ON TAP: Hirst and company will return to action at the Ocean Speedway on October 7th, and at the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA on October 8th.
