PETERSEN MEDIA- Saturday night in Elma, WA Robbie Price put together a nice showing in Elma, WA as he took on the Summer Thunder Series at Gray’s Harbor Raceway.

“It was probably the best I have felt at Gray’s Harbor Raceway in a very long time,” Price said. “The guys that beat me are some of the best in the Pacific Northwest, and I was happy to battle with them up front.”

Timing the Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Wheeler Paint Works/Rod End Supply backed No. 21p machine in ninth fastest out of the 20 cars in the pit area, Price would line up on the pole of his heat race.

A scattered start to the race would see Price fall back to the second spot as he tucked in behind the leader as the field raced through turns one and two. Finishing in the second spot, Price would have a little luck on his side and qualify for the redraw after the heats were completed.

Pulling the six in the redraw, Price would line the Wildlight Photography/Shark Racing Engines backed machine up in the third row for the feature event. When the race went green, Price would take over the fifth spot as he raced around the big 3/8 mile facility.

Spending most of his time in the fifth spot, Price would see a charging Jason Solwold put him back in sixth as they battled through traffic. Back in sixth, Price would continue fight hard as he would get by Evan Margeson and Chase Goetz to move into the fourth spot.

In the final laps, Price would close in on JJ Hickle but would end up settling for fourth at the line.

“Crockett, Solwold, and Hickle are some of the best up here, and to run with them is a great feeling,” Price said. “We have been really strong lately and I feel like the more laps we can get this summer consistently the better we will get. Thanks to everyone who helps our team out.”

Price and his team would like to thank Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal, Wheeler Paint Works, Rod End Supply, Wildlight Photography, and Shark Racing Engines for their support during the 2017 season.
