PETERSEN MEDIA- Spending the early part of last week running in Canada to get some racing in prior to the Knoxville Nationals, Parker Price-Miller reunited with the Hill’s Racing team and had some speed at Ohsweken Speedway.
Kicking his trip off a little over a week ago, Price-Miller would get off to a nice start as he advanced from his sixth starting spot in heat race action to finish in the second position.
Moving into the feature event, the Kokomo, IN wheelman would grid the field from the seventh spot for the 20-lap affair. Continuing to run well for the Canadian based team, Price-Miller would get moving in the feature event, as he would quickly get into the fifth spot.
Going for a big move on the third and fourth place cars, a competitor would get out of shape in front of him and it would cause him to spin. With much of the field able to miss him, another car would drill Price-Miller and he would seek medical attention for a banged up elbow.
Deemed to just be a deep bone bruise, PPM would return to action on Monday night for another 360ci battle. Lining up fourth in his heat race, Price-Miller would pick up the win and move to the feature event where he would line up in the second row.
Racing his way by Kyle Larson on the race’s second lap, Price-Miller would look extremely good out front until he got up over the edge of the racing surface on the 18th lap and gave the lead back to Larson.
Reeling Larson back in, the duo would put on a show as they battled hard and managed to pull away from the field. A late yellow would see PPM’s right rear going low, so playing it safe he would limp home to finish in the second position.
One final night in Canada would see Price-Miller take on the World of Outlaws on Tuesday night.
Timing in fifth fastest in qualifying flight A, PPM would run third in his heat race to the Kasey Kahne Racing duo of Brad Sweet and Darryn Pittman.
Moving into the 30-lap feature event, Price-Miller lined up in the ninth starting position. Running wheel-to-wheel with some of the best in the business, Price-Miller would put a cap on his trip to Canada with a 10th place finish.
“It was nice to get back in the Hill’s Racing Team car and have speed,” Price-Miller said. “I have to thank everyone with the team for the chance to drive for them, and thank my guy, Brayden, for coming along and lending a hand.”
Price-Miller and his team would like to thank 360 Yield, Dupont, Pioneer, FlyingAG, Agee Farms, Encirca, Chalk Stix, Bell Helmets, and PPM Titanium for their support in 2017.
ON TAP: Parker Price-Miller is now set for the Knoxville 360 Nationals that are slated to kick off Thursday night in Knoxville, IA. Price-Miller will hit the famed ½ mile to qualify on Friday night.
