PETERSEN MEDIA- With two more races on the docket for Aiden Larimer last weekend in both Red Bluff, CA and Chowchilla, CA, the youngster returned to his winning ways as he picked up the Beginner Box Stock win on Saturday in Red Bluff, before finishing second in his Box Stock on Sunday in Chowchilla.
Saturday night in Red Bluff, CA Larimer kicked his night off by timing the Cornaggia Farms/Stone Motorsports/Mark Sutton Construction entry in seventh quickest in qualifying time trials out of the 21 Karts that were checked in for the Beginner Box Stock division.
While he would not move into the Dash to extend his points lead, the Merced, CA youngster did not let that get to him as he would take care of the task at hand and pick up the heat race win.
Moving into the feature event, Larimer would grid the field from the second row as he searched for his fifth win of the winter season. Being so strong at the Tehama County Fairgrounds, Larimer was able to race his way into the lead and never look back as he was able to pick up his fifth win of the season in what was his seventh start in Red Bluff.
Making the trip back to Chowchilla, CA for Sunday’s Barn Burner event, Larimer would climb back aboard his Box Stock as he would get off to a nice start by timing the Pro Vinyl Graphics/Van Lare Steering Repair/D&L Pump entry in fastest in qualifying time trials.
Picking up a second place finish in his heat race, Larimer would move into the feature event as he looked to cap off a weekend sweep. Running in the lead pack all race long, Larimer found himself in second for much of the race.
Trying to find away into the race lead, Larimer would cap off a strong weekend and follow up Saturday’s win with a hard fought second place finish.
