PETERSEN MEDIA- Climbing back aboard Dale Miller’s potent No. 4sa machine over the weekend for two races, Bubba DeCaires would have a special Saturday night that saw him record his best finish to date as he ended up finishing eighth at the Tribute to Al Hinds at Placerville Speedway.

“I really cant thank Dale Miller enough for giving me tow nights in-a-row in his car,” Bubba DeCaires said. “He is doing a lot for me and I really appreciate this opportunity.”

Saturday night in Placerville, CA, DeCiares timed the Thompson’s Auto/RedHawk Casino/Dale Miller Septic, Inc. backed No. 4SA entry in in 12th quickest in qualifying time trials.

Lining up in the third row of his heat race, DeCaires would admittedly get off to a sluggish start and would slip back to finish eighth. Lining up 12in in the feature event DeCaires would take a liking to the bottom groove of the race track.

Making some great laps while pedaling the low groove, DeCaires would work his way up inside the Top-10. Continuing to battle with some seasoned veterans around the ¼ mile bullring, DeCaires would take advantage of a couple late race incidents and gain a couple of positions.

A late race restart would see the youngster fend of some challenges for his position and he would take the checkered flag with a career best eighth place finish.

Friday night saw DeCaires and Dale Miller Motorsports travel to Chico, CA’s Silver Dollar Speedway for a weekly point show.

Timing in 22nd quickest in qualifying time trials on this night, the rookie driver would experience some issues in his heat race that forced him to make a trip to the work area.

Able to get his mount repaired, he would rejoin the field and finish seventh which put him in the ‘B’ Main. Lining up seventh in the semi, DeCaires would jump up to fifth initially but he would get tight and push up the track losing a couple of positions.

Falling back to seventh, DeCaires would make some nice laps as he continues to acclimate to the full sized sprint in just his second ever start and his night would end in the semi.

“Friday night we were able to make a lot of good laps which is huge,” DeCaires said. “Saturday night I felt the most comfortable I have felt yet and it ended up being a good night for our team. Overall it was a great weekend that allowed us to get a lot of laps together. I am looking forward to running on May 5th and racing alongside my Dad.”

Greg DeCaires and the Dale Miller Motorsports team would like to thank Thompson’s Auto, RedHawk Casino,  Dale Miller Septic, Inc, El Dorado Hills Landscaping, Anrak Corporation, Frank’s Body Shop, Wion’s Powder Coating, Smith Titanium, King Racing Products, A.R.T.
